The Moss Goddesses are inspired by a quote from Diane Ackerman:

"The earth itself was a goddess, curvy and ripe, radiant with fertility, aspill with riches."

​

The installation was built with a skeleton comprised of metal, wood, and plastic, then drenched in freshly gathered spanish moss. The mandala beneath the goddesses was made with dyed sand from a beach in St. Augustine and glass stones.
